To get a seat in JNU for M.Tech in Data Science, candidates must have a Master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Operational Research/any branch of Science /Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with at least 55% marks. Admission is offered through a common paper for admission to both M.Tech. Programme in "Computer Science and Technology" and M.Tech. Programme in "Data Science". An applicant should clearly mention the order of preference amongst the two M.Tech. programmes in the application form. The eligibility and syllabus for the entrance examination for both M.Tech. Programme in "Computer Science and Technology" and M.Tech. Programme in "Data Science" would be the same.
