For reserved category students, the admission criteria for M.Sc. in Mathematics at JNU is based on the performance in the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET (PG) 2025, and the deprivation points added to their score. The eligibility criteria include a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or any other subject under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks. The reservation policy of the Government of India is applicable, with 5% seats reserved for PWD candidates. The seat matrix for M.Sc. in Mathematics is:UR: 14SC: 5ST: 2OBC: 9EWS: 3Total: 33PWD: 2Deprivation points are awarded to candidates based on their district of residence, with Quartile 1 and Quartile 2 districts eligible for 6 and 4 points, respectively. Female/transgender candidates are also eligible for deprivation points. Candidates must apply separately for admission to JNU after the declaration of CUET (PG) 2025 results. The admission shall be given based on the performance in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and the deprivation points added to their score.
