UBDTCE is one of the renowned colleges in Karnataka, providing extensive experience for students across various subjects.Admission ProcedureAdmission to this college is made completely through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Selection is based on the Merit.CET will be generally conducted during the month of April/May of every year. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to different categories viz., General Merit, SC/ST, Category I, II, III & IV, and Political Sufferers, Defence, Sports, NCC and Physically Handicapped. Selection through Diploma quota and G.O.I quota are made by the Director of Technical Education, Bangalore.The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.Best Of Luck.

University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha offers the B.E. / B.Tech programmes for admission to which candidates are selected based on KEAM. However, the candidates who couldn't appear for KEAM can register under the Management quota, though these intakes are restricted. In the case of management quota admissions, there may be other requirements such as marks in the 12th standard, but insofar as government-quota seats are concerned KEAM is the principal pathway.
