The chances of securing a seat at a National Law University (NLU) with the minimum cutoff, such as 70% in class 12th, depend on various factors, including the total number of seats, reservation policies, and the specific NLU in question. While it is possible to be admitted to some NLUs with 70% in class 12th, the seat allocation is subject to the total number of seats available and the reservation policies of the respective NLUs. For instance, the total number of seats in CLAT 2024 admission is 3,451 for the undergraduate law programme across 24 NLUs, and these seats are distributed among various categories based on reservation policies. Therefore, while meeting the minimum cutoff is a positive factor, the final admission depends on the overall competition and the specific NLU's admission policies.

The selection process for National Law Universities (NLUs) is primarily based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score. The CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at NLUs. The minimum CLAT score required for admission to NLUs varies each year and depends on factors such as the total number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the difficulty level of the exam. The CLAT score is a significant factor in the selection process for NLUs, and candidates' performance in the CLAT exam, including their overall score and section-wise scores, is taken into consideration. NLUs prepare a merit list based on the CLAT scores, and the selection process is highly competitive. Candidates aspiring to secure admission to NLUs should focus on preparing well for the CLAT exam to increase their chances of admission

The Return on Investment (ROI) after completing a B.A. LL.B from a National Law University (NLU) can vary based on individual circumstances. The cost of pursuing a B.A. LL.B from NLUs is significant, with annual fees ranging from 3-4 Lakhs and total fees for 5 years amounting to around 18 Lakhs for some NLUs. However, NLUs are known for their high-quality education, exposure, and placement opportunities, which can contribute to a favorable ROI. National Law Universities (NLUs) offer varying numbers of seats for their B.A. LL.B. degrees. For example, NLSIU Bangalore, a larger university, has over 300 seats available, whereas NLUs that are more recent may only have 120. General category seats are impacted by reservations for categories like as SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and EWS, with percentages differing throughout NLUs. Demand and competition have an impact on the ultimate intake; more qualified candidates may result in stiffer cutoffs and somewhat fewer admissions than the initial seat capacities.

National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) is highly regarded and has consistently been ranked among the top law schools in India. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Government of India, NLU Delhi has retained the second spot in the Law Category for several years, demonstrating its strong reputation and academic excellence. While NLU Delhi is widely recognised for its quality education and research, the "best" NLU is subjective and can depend on various factors such as individual preferences, course offerings, faculty, and infrastructure. Therefore, while NLU Delhi is a prestigious institution, students should consider their own priorities and the specific offerings of each NLU when making a decision.
