NLU Odisha (NLUO) - National Law University Cuttack Answered Questions

National Law University, Odisha is one of the upcoming NLUs with great opportunities. Unlike the top National Law Universities, the placements aren't very good at NLUO. It is also due to the fact that it's one of the young NLUs and does not have a place advantage. However, the Placement Cell of NLUO works constantly towards securing internships and placements for students. In the past, several law firms and corporates have recruited from NLUO or students have secured jobs through personal endeavors. These law firms include Luthra and Luthra, AZB & Partners, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Link Legal, Nishith Desai Associates among others. For the batch of 2016, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan made offers to 5 graduates. Luthra and Luthra hired 3 people.

For Ph.D, you have to complete your master's degree and then you will have to appear for the NLUO exam and then you have to appear for the personal interview.

Well, you need not think much when you get to chose between an NLU and other institutes.
NLU Odisha is one of its kind and known for its moot court achievements and the faculties everywhere. The students have also been witness to this. The NLU has been growing over time and by now it has earned a good reputation and is preferred by many students while they fill up their CLAT preferences.
Also, NLU Odisha has some very good faculties and are much experienced. The infrastructure is decent and worth chasing.
Placements are good as tier 2 and tier 3 law firms do recruit here.
Also, it has an NLU tag which one looks for and thus must be preferred over Kerala Law Academy.
Also, it has every other advantage and facility that any NLU has to offer.
Though a comparatively newer NLU but is still better than other institutes including Kerala Law Academy.
