As a former student of PIBM, I can share my perspective on both, as I had also explored Alliance University before finalizing my decision for PIBM.Alliance has been around for quite some time and is known for its campus infrastructure and exposure in Bangalore city. It is a private university, so it has the flexibility to design its curriculum. However, from what I saw and heard from a few peers studying there, the placement support is a bit mixed. You might find some good companies during placements, but consistency and ROI sometimes become a concern. The fee is slightly on the higher side too. On the other hand, PIBM is more focused on industry-driven curriculum and practical learning. During my time here, we were constantly involved in live business projects, corporate sessions, dual internships, case-study-based training, and direct interactions with industry experts. The placement process was also very structured – companies like Deloitte, EY, PwC, HDFC, and KPMG visited campus, and students across different specializations received good opportunities.Another difference I noticed was the ROI factor. PIBM's fee is comparatively reasonable and the placements make the investment worth it. Plus, being in Pune – a big corporate hub – gave us more access to internships and corporate visits. If you are someone who feels more value in a big campus and university branding, Alliance might appeal to you. But if your priority is career growth, industry exposure, and ROI, then PIBM is definitely the better choice. From my personal experience, I would say PIBM provided me with the platform where I definitely learned, grew, and ultimately got placed at a reputed firm through campus drives. So yes, you can join Alliance, but if you're looking for better ROI and focused career outcomes, I'd suggest going with PIBM.

Being a former student of PIBM, my experience says yes, you can definitely get admission at PIBM with 78 percentile in CAT. One thing keep in mind is that PIBM does not rely only on CAT percentile – they also accept scores from XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and they even have their own aptitude process called PMAT.The selection process at PIBM is more profile-oriented than just cutoff-driven. Let's say my example, as far as I remember, during my admission, the evaluation was done on multiple parameters, like these:Entrance exam score (CAT/other exams)Academic backgroundPIBM aptitude test & group discussionPersonal Interview (PI)When I joined, I had a percentile around 75 and still got through because I performed well in their GD-PI round (Group Discussion & Personal Interview) and showed clarity in my career goals.PIBM focuses more on overall potential and skills, not just exam scores. If you are serious about pursuing an MBA/PGDM here, prepare well for GD & PI, be able to highlight your strengths, and you should have a good chance. Also, placements are solid if you're ready to put in effort – top companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, and PwC visit the campus. Many of my batchmates with a percentile around yours were placed in good profiles. So yes, with 78 percentile in CAT, you have a fair chance of admission at PIBM. I'd recommend applying and preparing well for the next rounds.

While comparing Soil Gurgaon and PIBM Pune in terms of quality of education, placement ratio, and ROI, I found PIBM to be a stronger choice. I went ahead with PIBM based on key parameters like industry exposure, skill-based learning, corporate training modules, and placement opportunities.Looking back, what I loved most about PIBM was how practical and industry-focused the learning was.We weren't just sitting in classrooms — we were constantly interacting with corporate leaders, working on live business projects, visiting industries, doing business simulations, and getting hands-on domain training that really sharpened my adaptability and negotiation skills. The specialisations were completely in sync with market demand — I got to explore areas like Business Analytics, FinTech, Project Management, Marketing, Finance, and HR.PIBM also made sure we were placement-ready through structured GD-PI practice, aptitude training, mock interviews, and constant mentorship. And when it came to placements, the network of top recruiters across BFSI, Consulting, IT/ITES, FMCG, and more was incredible — in my batch, the average package hovered around 6.5 LPA, with the highest touching 18 LPA.On top of that, the tools-based training was next level — I got the opportunity to learn Ace Analyzer, Bloomberg terminals, plus earn certifications like NISM and CISI, which gave me a real edge in the ever-evolving business management market.SOIL Gurgaon might be an option if you want experiential learning, but it is comparatively niche, with a smaller batch size and a different programme focus. Its placement opportunities are good, but may not match the sectoral diversity and corporate exposure that PIBM Pune currently offers. If your goal is better ROI, wider specialisation options, and skill-based corporate training with strong placement support, PIBM Pune offers a more comprehensive package. However, if you prefer a certain culture with a decent programme that offers theoretical learning more than a practical approach and a smaller peer group, SOIL Gurgaon may be a good option for you.

I was in the exact same situation a couple of years ago — shortlisting MBA colleges, comparing placement status, reading endless reviews, and wondering if any B-school actually delivers what it promises.PIBM Pune was on my list, but honestly, I wasn't 100% sure at first. Every college talks about great placements, right? What made me curious about PIBM was their emphasis on skill-based training and corporate exposure rather than just classroom lectures. That's why I decided to take admission. From the very first week, it felt different. Classes weren't just about theory — we were solving real business case studies, doing presentations, attending mock GDs and interviews, and interacting with CXOs during regular corporate sessions. There were also industry visits, business simulations, and certifications like NISM, CISI, Bloomberg, and more. It genuinely felt like we were being prepared for the corporate world, not just for exams. The placement cell at PIBM is active from the start — they focus on grooming you through aptitude training, soft skills development, and one-on-one mentoring. By the time placement season began, most of us were confident and well-prepared. My batch sat for placements across BFSI, IT & ITES, FMCG, Consulting, and other sectors. The average package was competitive, and some even landed double-digit LPA offers. If you're willing to put in the effort and actively participate in everything the institute offers, PIBM can definitely help you become corporate-ready and secure good placements. The placement cell provides the platform — you need to remain sustainable in the corporate sector.

Yes, PIBM Pune is quite good when it comes to placements, especially if you're looking for a B-school that focuses on both theoretical & practical learning that will help you to get ready for the job market. One of the biggest strengths of PIBM is its industry-focused training. From day one, students get exposure to how the corporate world works. There are regular corporate sessions with industry experts, mock interviews, GD-PI practice, dual internships, industry visits, case studies, simulation games, and even certification programs that will help you stand out during placements. When it comes to companies, PIBM has tie-ups with top recruiters across various sectors, including Finance, Marketing, HR, Business Analytics, Operations, and more. These top companies include Deloitte, PwC, EY, ITC, HDFC Bank, LG, Amul, Dabur, BYJU'S, Federal Bank, KPMG, Barclays, Accenture, BNY Mellon, Citco, and several others. These companies offer profiles in consulting, sales & marketing, analytics, finance, FMCG, BFSI, HR, etc. The latest batch of PGDM and MBA programme students is placed with the highest package of 20 LPA and the average package of up to 7.5 LPA. Another plus point is PIBM doesn't just focus on placements for the sake of numbers — they really work on building your skills, confidence, and domain knowledge so that you're job-ready from day one by the time final placements happen. If you're willing to put in the effort, stay engaged in all the training and sessions, and take advantage of the learning opportunities PIBM provides, then yes — it's a good place to kickstart your career after an MBA or a PGDM program.

As an ex-student of PIBM, I can say that PIBM offers a solid mix of management programs designed to prepare you for real corporate life, not just for exams. Here is a quick breakdown of what PIBM offers:PGDM (AICTE-approved): Through this program, you get to deep-dive into specializations like Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, Operations, Consulting, FinTech, and more with practical training that industries expect.PGDM Prime: If you've got a strong CAT/XAT score, this can be a smart pick. There are merit-based scholarships up to ?4 lakhs, which makes a solid management programme in a better way. PGDM Plus: A Letter of Intent (LOI) right from the start, plus you can get guidance from IIM-qualified faculty. It's seriously focused on practical training and placements at top MNCs.PGDM Hybrid: An online MBA programme for working professionals where you don't have to leave your job, and still get the scope to level up into leadership roles.Global Joint Degree Program: You get to study in India and the USA while gaining international corporate experience, and even benefits of CPT/OPT (up to 3 years!), student visa assistance, IELTS training programs, and more. MBA: A bit more academic and practical as well, where you can get industry training, live business projects, dual internships, simulation games, case studies, and more.MBA in FinTech: You can get hands-on practical training on Blockchain, AI, Cloud, and more that are transforming everything in today's finance world.MBA in Project Management: It helps you to learn everything in real time — from planning to executing a project. A structured programme makes you job-ready from day one for higher-responsibility roles in management positions. There are also other certification training programs like SAP, Digital Marketing, Six Sigma, Bloomberg, Power BI, Financial Modelling, and more. Communication, leadership training, along with mock interviews, GD-PI and more are beneficial during campus placements. Overall, the courses at PIBM are structured in a way that gives you both a strong academic grounding and practical corporate exposure. For me, that balance made a big difference when stepping into the job market.
