Different cources at this Institute have different eligibility criterias.Apart from TNEA you should have passed your 12 with 50 or 40 percent in some of the cases. If you are pursuing PG cources like MTech, You need to have a bachelor's degree on your specific feild from a recognised university. Also in engineering feild, exams like JEE advance is also accepted. Medical cources needs exams like NEET to be qualified. So the final answer is apart from TNEA you need to have passed your 12 th.

The counselling will be done in four rounds including choice filling, allotment, confirmation of allotment and reporting to college. The selected candidates will have to fill the choices of college and branches based on their preferences. After filling the preferences, candidates have to pay the counselling fee. There will be an extra round for special catagory and reservation students. The TNEA cutoff will be released on August 2024. Students who have scored aggregate marks between 142 and 176.99 are eligible for the TNEA Counselling 2024.

They provide good placements to the students, students are placed at good companies or firms with a good placement pacakage. According to 2023 placements the highest pacakage offered at Saveetha engineering college was 34 LPA and average was 6.5 LPA. Also the rate of the students who got placed was also good. Popular companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Virtusa, HCL, etc. recruited the students.
