Firstly, SGPA is calculated in each semester. Credit is allotted to each subject some subjects are for 2 credit some are for 3 upto 7 credit. For CGPA, add total SGPA and divide it by total credits of all subjects in all semesters in this way you get CGPA.

Students have to pass the 12th exam with 50 percent marks for general and 45 percent marks for reserved categary if you don't get it then university doesn't give admission in any case then you have to pass the entrance exam but if you have failed to give the entrance exam still you have to fill the form for admission which is approximately 2000 Rs then you have to contact the director for admissions for the subject in which you want to take the admission. If seats are left in that subject after counselling because first they give chance to the students who have cleared entrance then after if seats are left they give admission to the students who want to take admission but missed the entrance exams if seats are available.

Firstly, the students don't fail in internal exams. But even if you fail in the exans don't worry because 1 semester is divided into 3 parts, 10 marks for pre mid term, 20 marks for mid term, 40 marks for semester and 30 marks for viva and practical, if in that subject, there is no practical than 70 marks for theory in the semester exam. Suppose you score 2 marks in pre midterm and you think you failed but actually you failed in pre midterm but out of 100 marks that include pre midterm, midterm and semester you have to score 40 marks for passing the subject so if you score 2 out of 10 in any subject in midterm you score 14 out of 20 and out 70 easily you can score 40 marks because it includes practical also so you won't be considered fail, you will be passed in that exams so need not to worry about pre mid term and mid term because out total 100 marks, you have to pass if you are failed in any term than cover your marks in next paper to score 40 marks out of 100.

The most important thing is curriculum is quite different from the other universities it gives extra importance to practical subjects and seminars related to startups many universities except iits and NIT don't focus on it but thus university focus on it and there is no pressure of exams on the students tier semesters are divided in three parts pre mid term, mid term and final exam easily you can pass the exams whatever teacher teaches in the class, almost questions come from there and even you need not to consult the books only the notes are enough to pass the exam.
