Faculty members are good. No college life, no fest, nothing.
Placements: Approximately 35-40% placement in the corporate field. Many prefer to go for higher studies and government jobs. Many big companies come during placement like Amul, etc. Students got scholarships like UP scholarship, but this is only for UP people. There are various roles offered in this course like AFO, KVK scientist, etc. There are various roles on the marketing side, also.
Infrastructure: Infrastructures are not that good. All buildings are very old, and the fee is a little bit high. Our classrooms are also not that good. Hostels are okay; I mean, it's average. The mess is not so good; sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's bad, like every other mess. No facilities like a good canteen, sports, and games. We don't have anything to play.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, qualified, and very helpful. Practical and fieldwork are good. The exam pattern is good. Questions are medium to high, and the tier pattern of copy checking is very strict, so it's hard to get marks easily. The curriculum is good. They have added practical and fieldwork in it, which is very important in our course, and all these things are so good. There are subjects for our industrial development, communication development, and everything.
Other: No college life is like other colleges, like we don't have fests, but conferences are there. The best thing about my course is that after joining this course, I know the real issues and how important it is to protect our nature. Basically, I am loving it.

Don't take admission in this college.
Placements: About 20% of students got placed. The highest package was 4 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. Recruiting companies such as pharmaceuticals came last year. There was no internship provided by the college, you had to do it on your own. You should not expect the placement from this college at all.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure both were not very well maintained. Library was maintained with a lot of books. Classrooms did not have projectors, and the Wi-Fi was available for the staff only. The food in the mess was not that good, it's average. Medical facilities were there. College had it's own hospital where students get 5% to 10% discount. Sports and athletics were pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was impressive. They gave the practical knowledge. Course curriculum was relevant, it made the students industry-ready. Semester exams were hard, one had to study properly.

I'll not suggest that you take admission in this college.
Placements: The placement scenario isn't very promising. Only around 20%-25% students got placed last year. The highest package offered was approximately 7 LPA, and the lowest was around 3.5 LPA. Most of the offers came from service-based companies, and internships weren't offered to everyone. There isn't much focus on practical knowledge, which affects how industry-ready students are. Core jobs are quite rare in this course.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is decent. Classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors, and there's good Wi-Fi in academic blocks. Labs are there, but not always well-maintained. The library helps with studying, but it is a bit outdated in terms of resources. Hostels are fine, though not very spacious. Mess food is average, some days it's okay, some days not so much. There's a small medical room and basic sports facilities, nothing fancy but manageable.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are supportive and qualified, and they do try to explain concepts clearly. However, the focus is still more on theory than practical learning. The curriculum covers important subjects but feels outdated in some areas, especially for students looking for industry-ready skills. Exams are not very tough, and with regular studies, you can pass easily. The passing CGPA is 4.5, so it's manageable, but the lack of hands-on experience is a drawback.
Other: I chose this course based on my interest in the field and expected better placement support. The crowd is mixed, some are focused, while others just pass the time. Fests and events happen occasionally but aren't very grand. Connectivity to the main city is okay, and the campus is in a peaceful area. I feel the course could improve a lot with more practical exposure, industry tie-ups, and better placement preparation. Extracurricular activities are there, but not very active. Some basic scholarships are offered, but not widely promoted.

You can take admission but don't expect much.
Placements: Last year, only a few students got placed. The placement scenario wasn't that great. Only around 20 percent of students were placed. The highest package offered was around 8 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA but most students didn't even get placement opportunities. Only a few companies came for recruitment and most of them offered internships instead of full-time roles. The overall placement support also felt a bit lacking.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure. Classrooms are spacious and have projectors and there's Wi-Fi across the campus, though the speed can be inconsistent. Labs are well-equipped and the library has a good collection of books. The hostel is okay. Rooms are a bit small but manageable. Mess food is average sometimes better on special days. There are sports facilities and a few indoor games. Medical facilities are available but could be improved. Overall, not bad but not the best either.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are helpful and quite experienced in their subjects. They do explain topics well, but sometimes the classes feel rushed during exam time. The curriculum is mostly okay and covers industry basics, though some subjects feel outdated. Exams are moderate in difficulty, if you study properly, it's manageable. The pass percentage is 4.5%, but practical knowledge could be focused on more.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the subject and heard the faculty was good. Campus life is fine, not very happening, but the chill. The crowd is mostly from nearby cities, and people are friendly. Fests do happen, but not on a very large scale. One thing I wish they would improve is placement support and more practical exposure in the course. Connectivity to the city is decent, and the college is located in a peaceful area.

Average with studies. Placement is not present in all courses. Infrastructure is worth seeing.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Sc. degree in life sciences, chemistry, and forensic science. I am right now in my 2nd year. I can definitely say it gives you a flashy degree. The forensic department gives you study pressure but some of the departments have none. To just get a degree, the university is good but you can look for other options. I would give the average review to the college.
Infrastructure: Hostel is kind of good but it gives you restrictions. You are allowed to enter the hostel premises till 7:00 PM in summer, and 6:00 PM in winter. Food is the same as all hostels are average. You need to look after yourself in the hostel. But if you get a nice circle, the college life will turn out nice.
Faculty: In contrast to college, teachers are helpful and engaging. They will help you out with your career choices. They are friendly and definitely supportive. They will help you out when asked for it. They will give you choices to make a better future. They are good at their work.
Other: The forensic department is semi-government which led me to pursue. Definitely, forensic is a quite interesting field.

Dissatisfied due to poor management.
Placements: There are only 10 students placed in my course. There are no placements. No companies come here usually but sometimes some companies come to hire a sales person. Only 5% of students got internships here which is not any specific opportunity for students that can enhance their career.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is a large campus. We have library, digital library, hostel, and all other things. There are 3 hostels, new hostel, old hostel, and international hostel. There are 4 messes and 4 canteens where the food quality is satisfactory and delicious.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated and cooperative. They try their best to enhance our knowledge. They always try to explain everything in detail in a manner that can be understood by students easily. The exam is a little bit difficult, paper pattern is hard without any cheating.
Other: I have chosen this course from a reference of a relative. The lab is outdated and it should be upgraded. There are very less events organised here.

SHUATS Admission FAQs

Q:   Can I take direct admission in SHUATS?
A:

No, direct admission is not available for most programs at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHUATS). The admission process for SHUATS is primarily based on the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET) and merit-based online/offline counseling. For various diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, the admission is granted through Open Online Counseling.

Q:   Is there any entrance exam conducted by SHUATS?
A:

The university conducted SOET for all the UG and PG courses in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture and Pharmacy courses offered by it. For all the remaining courses, the university conducts online counselling based on past academic merit.

Q:   Can I get direct admission to SHUATS - Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences?
A:

Students have to pass the 12th exam with 50 percent marks for general and 45 percent marks for reserved categary if you don't get it then university doesn't give admission in any case then you have to pass the entrance exam but if you have failed to give the entrance exam still you have to fill the form for admission which is approximately 2000 Rs then you have to contact the director for admissions for the subject in which you want to take the admission. If seats are left in that subject after counselling because first they give chance to the students who have cleared entrance then after if seats are left they give admission to the students who want to take admission but missed the entrance exams if seats are available.
