The selection of c&idates for all the seats shall be made based on ranks obtained by the c&idates in A.P. EAPCET 2022.
In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more c&idates in the Andhra Pradesh EAPCET 2022, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration.
A c&idate shall not be allowed admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry degree course if he or she suffers from disabilities namely: disability of total body including disability of chest or spine more than 50%, disability of lower limb of more than 50%.
Twenty-five per cent (25%) of the seats in the SVVU are reserved for c&idates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than 1 (one) acre of l& either in the name of the parents or in the name of the c&idates & who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas.

For reserved category students, the admission criteria for BVSc and AH at SVVU is as follows:
- The candidate should have passed the subjects of physics, chemistry, biology, and English up to the 12th standard level with 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects for general category.
- For candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes / the scheduled tribes or other special category students, the marks required in aggregate is 5% less than that prescribed for the general category (i.e., 47.5%).
- The candidate should have completed a minimum age of 17 years and not crossed the maximum age of 22 years as on the 31st December of that year of his or her admission to the 1st year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry course.
- The maximum age shall be 25 years in respect of scheduled caste or scheduled tribes and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates.
- The selection of candidates for all the seats except those reserved for VCI quota shall be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the EAMCET in their respective local areas from out of the merit lists prepared for this purpose.
- Twenty-five percent (25%) seats shall be reserved for candidates of all social categories coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning a minimum of 1 acre of Agricultural land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidates who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in the schools located in non-municipal areas.
