The University of Hyderabad has not released anything officially concerning the cut-off marks of M.A. in Sociology, though in using past years trends and hence analyzing the information available, posted on other websites, general category cut-offs generally lie between 50-60%. Factors Affecting Cutoff: Number of Applicants: Generally speaking, the more students appearing, the more are the cut-off levels.Difficulty level of the exam: If the difficulty level of the exam conducted is on a higher side, then, obviously, the cut off will be lower .Reservation policies : Many seats might be reserved for different categories; so, the seat cut off for different categories may vary according to the number of seats available for reservation.Important Note:Cut-off may vary quite considerably from one year to another. Hence, at any point in time, it would always be advisable to look into the official website of the University of Hyderabad or the admissions office for accurate latest information available.
