My honest review of my college.
Placements: We have a good placement cell on our campus. Every year, we use to invite them for the campus selection. We used to go for higher studies rather than going for a job, most of us are pursuing a Ph.D. now. Still, we have some opportunities to get a job. The list of companies includes Velammal Educational Institutions, DuPont, and some renowned IT companies. We can do an internship under a professor.
Infrastructure: The course is also vast, and the labs are so good. If anyone wants research, this is the best place to be. So, many labs and many research programs happen here. Seminars from international professors are also very frequent. Exams and labs make a hectic schedule. Exams are very frequent. There are 3 minor and 1 major happen for one subject, with lab exams. The hostel is so good here, and the infrastructure is also very good. Everything is good and clean. Each room has only 2 members, so not a problem at all. Playgrounds are available at hostels. The gym is also there for students, which is very nice. For every semester, the hostel fees are so feasible for everyone.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified. Some teachers are good and some are average. They are interested only when you are interested. The faculty's recommendation is highly valuable to them. We can go anywhere in the world with their recommendation. Only some teachers teach passionately, and others focus more on the syllabus. They are very good teachers, which makes the subject very interesting. They very much help in research areas. There are good digital classrooms where I can easily understand, and I'm also interested in doing lab work. The organisation of the curriculum plays a critical role in helping students. This helps them transfer their learning to new situations.

M.Sc. in Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences - Batch of 2020

Overall, it is the best university for the M.Sc. in Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences course.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are successfully placed in our Hyderabad University. Our course has the highest package of 37 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3-7 LPA. Recruitment agencies include IMD, IIRS, MoES, and many others. Opportunities for internships are great, with more than 85% of students placed in good companies. The top roles offered are oceanographer, climate modeler, and more.
Infrastructure: It has very fast internet and the best library compared to all the colleges in India. Indira Gandhi Library is one of the best libraries with a lot of books and papers. The hotel quality and facilities are excellent. There are some of the best medical emergency centers on campus, and we also have excellent sports and games facilities.
Faculty: I personally feel that the professors are too qualified. They are well-known people in Communication with wonderful stories, which gives you the chance to expose yourself more and network with some well-known people. Teachers are very supportive and will do everything they can to help you grow. Semester exams are easy, and the pass rate is 90%.

Satisfied with faculty, but administration is poor.
Placements: Appearing in 2025 placements interview. 30 Lacs per annum. Google, Microsoft, etc. As of now, we are not doing any internships, and even my college is not offering any kind of internships. Apart from all your questions, my college has a good reputation.
Infrastructure: Bad condition of infrastructure and technology, provided by the administration, buildings are in worse condition in my school, but the library is the finest place where students rush to. The mess condition is even worse, but the quality of food sanitation is good.
Faculty: Knowledge faculty, well-reputed professors, highly qualified, good teaching skills. Our courses are prepared by professors themselves, that sharpen the students and provide good training for the students to enter the economic e-society.
Other: University doesn't value money; that administration thinks all students can afford the fees, the finest which is imposed by us. Poor conditions of infrastructure are not looked out for by the administration. Scholarships are provided, that even students cannot afford, not helping students to fulfill their basic needs.

I am fully satisfied with the facilities available at the university.
Placements: Percentage of students placed is 10%. The highest package offered is 16 LPA. The lowest salary is 5 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA. Top companies are Federal Bank and Synchrony. Internship percentage is around 25%, and they get internships in IITs and research institutes. Roles offered are data analysis and research.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good. Buildings are old and broken. Wi-Fi facility is available. Library is available and it is 24X7 open. Hostel is not good. Rooms are small and broken. Wi-Fi is available. Food is not so great. Food is unhygienic and tasteless. Canteen is cheap and the food is average. Medical facilities are good. Sports and game facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and their method of teaching is unique and interesting. They are experienced. Course is also great for industry purposes. We are given the choice to choose are electives. Semester exams are tough. One needs to put in hours of study to score good marks. Pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I did not get any other college so I ended up here. I don't think there is any need for improvement. Events happen frequently. Fest is organised once a year. Scholarships are provided to needy people.

I am fully satisfied with the course and dissatisfied with hostels.
Placements: Placement percentage is 12% - 15%. The highest package is 14 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are Federal Bank and Synchrony. Internship percentage is 20%. Roles and companies are research assistant in IITs, research institutes, RBI, and NABARD. Roles offered are research and data analysis.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in the classroom. Toilets are neat and clean. Facilities available for PWD students. Wi-Fi is available. We don't have a library but a reading room. Hostel facility is not good. Food is not good and insects can be found in the food. We have many canteens on our campus and they are subsidized as well. Medical facilities are available all the time. Sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable also. Their teaching style is good. They provide the lecture slides also. Course curriculum is relevant to the industry needs. The course is rigorous. Semester exams are not very difficult. But one has to study a lot to score good marks. Pass percentage is 80 - 85%.
Other: Course will help me to prepare for CFA. The best thing about this course is its industry-specific. Fest is held once a year. It is a three day event. Scholarships are provided to few students on a merit basis.

Satisfied with the course curriculum but not satisfied with placements, hostels, and mess.
Placements: About 15% of students are able to secure placements. The highest package goes up to 16 LPA, the lowest is 5.6 LPA, and the average stands at 7 LPA. Top companies visiting the campus include Federal Bank, Synchrony, Splash BI, and some international schools recruiting for the position of teachers. The internship percentage stands at around 20%. All internships are mainly in the research domain, mainly IITs, NABARD, and other government research organizations. The top roles offered are probationary officers, data analysts, and teachers.
Infrastructure: Our department has good infrastructure. It is newly built and equipped with many facilities. We have good transportation facilities as well to cover the long distance between the hostels and the department. The hostels and mess are old and not really good. The water available is poor and not fit for drinking. The food is the worst. Canteens have good quality food, and it is not expensive as well. We have a sports complex and a gym, and all facilities are provided. The medical facility is provided and it is 24/7 available.
Faculty: All professors are well-qualified and experienced. They are quite helpful even after classes. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is designed with an industry focus. One can expect to gain proficiency in finance through this course. What we are taught is comparable to what CFA are taught. The semester exams are not so difficult. The exam papers are made easier, and one can easily expect an 8+ CGPA by the end of the course.
Other: The reason I chose this course is the curriculum, as it aligns with my interests. One can prepare for CFA, RBI, and SEBI exams alongside. I think practical labs are missing in our curriculum, and there should be more emphasis on software skills. We have events throughout the year, and no activity is left untouched. You will get many opportunities, whatever your hobbies may be. The campus crowd is also good. Students are humble and helpful. Students come from all over the country. The university has a beautiful campus surrounded by greenery. We have lakes and rocks to visit. Our main fest is Sukoon.
