Hello Swathikala, it's very tough to guess whether a particular college can give you free seat or not. In fact nowadays the concept of free seats has almost vanished, at least in the government colleges though different departments of government provide scholarships to different categories of students to enable them to pursue their studies. On the other hand private colleges offer scholarships at various percentages to the students but this is invariably based on their academic performance and usually this is done to attract brilliant students. In view of this I would advise you to contact the intended college where you are seeking admission and seek this information from their administrative department since this is not available in public domain.

According to my concern-
Placements : The placement team is great and has been achieving 100% placements for quite a few years. Placements were very good for the previous batch. Many companies visit the college to recruit students. A lot of MNCs visited the college last year and are regularly visiting for the past few years.

It depend upon you what you want to choose both courses are good where your interest lies but according to me B.Tech in food technology is better scope you have a good no of vacancy in government dept for same.
Sorry but according to last year cutoff your selection chances are very less.
