The selection process for B.Tech at College of Engineering - Pune (COEP) involves both entrance exams and counselling:Entrance Exams:Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET): 80% of B.Tech seats at COEP are filled based on MHT-CET scores. This is the primary entrance exam for engineering colleges in Maharashtra.JEE Main: The remaining 20% of seats are filled based on JEE Main scores. While not mandatory, scoring well in JEE Main can increase your chances of getting into COEP, especially if you're not from Maharashtra.Counselling:Candidates who score above the cut-off marks in either MHT-CET or JEE Main are eligible for counselling.Candidates need to register for counselling and fill in their preferred specializations and colleges.Based on their rank and seat availability, candidates are allotted seats in different rounds of counselling. After seat allocation, candidates need to report to COEP for document verification and fee payment to confirm their admission.Minimum JEE Main Percentile:There's no fixed minimum percentile required for JEE Main to get into COEP as it depends on various factors like:Category: Cut-off percentiles are usually lower for reserved categories like OBC, SC, and ST compared to the General category.Specialization: Some specializations at COEP might have higher cut-off percentiles due to higher demand.Overall number of applicants: The competition level in a particular year can also affect the cut-off percentiles. However, to give you a rough idea, the percentile required for getting into COEP through JEE Main can range from 95th to 99th percentile for the General category, depending on the factors mentioned above.

It's hard to say whether you can get into college of engineering - Pune (COEP) with a 70% score in JEE Fundamental because of a few elements:Admission through JEE Main is restricted: Just 20% of B.Tech seats at COEP are filled through JEE Main scores, while the leftover 80% depend on the Maharashtra Normal Entry Test (MHT CET). In this way, the opposition for JEE Main seats is a lot higher.Percentage is less important than percent: JEE Main scores are accounted for as percentiles, not rates. A 70% score could mean an alternate percentile relying upon the trouble level of the test and the quantity of test takers.
