Industry Exposure at GIBS Business School is integrated into the curriculum as a continuous and structured part of instruction, rather than just one event. GIBS conducts the following types of activities to keep students connected with industry:Guest Speaker Series (also called Corporate Talks) are held on average every month to every other month throughout the term to bring industry leaders (many of whom are HR professionals) into campus as speakers to give Motivating Talks and share their insights about the industries they represent.Industry visits (multiple visits scheduled and organised each semester) allow students to gain first-hand knowledge of the operation of businesses in different industries, i.e. manufacturing, logistics, finance, and IT. These visits offer students a better understanding of the Industry from an operational perspective.Alumni Sessions & Webinars (held regularly by the GIBS alumni who return to campus for career events to share their career experiences) occur most frequently prior to placement and internship activities, during which time alumni are able to inform students of the expectations they had when they entered the workforce and give advice about how best to prepare for interviews.

GIBS Business School places a high value on both CAT & MAT test scores when awarding CSEC scholarships to future students, but the CAT & MAT scores will not be the sole factor determining who receives a scholarship; instead CAT and MAT test scores are part of an overall assessment process. To be considered a competitive candidate for a scholarship, typically candidates must achieve a score in the higher than average percentile range (higher than basic cut-offs) due to the strong academic records of many applicants. In addition, proposed performance in the CAT & MAT testing systems also shows a candidate's analytical and aptitude testing abilities, so a candidate with a good performance in these areas would be considered more likely to receive a merit based scholarship. However, GIBS does look at a number of other components of the total candidate profile to determine scholarship awards at GIBS, such as academics, personal interview, work experience, if any, and leadership potential. Therefore, while the CAT & MAT test score is one part of the total candidate profile and may increase the likelihood of receiving financial assistance, the best way to determine if a candidate is "competitive" for a scholarship at GIBS is to consistently perform at a high level in all parameters of evaluation.

Compared to the previous setup, GIBS Business School now has a vastly improved and upgraded campus for its classrooms, laboratories, and social spaces (common areas). Classrooms now have significantly improved space and comfort, allowing longer and more interactive discussions without being as exhausting as in the previous campus. Laboratory and activity rooms utilize modern equipment and layouts to facilitate hands-on project work and experiential learning effectively. In addition, lounges, common open areas (lawns), benches, and informal gathering areas give numerous areas to relax and interact while completing group projects, thereby producing an improved atmosphere and a much more welcoming and student-centred campus community. The campus feels larger due to its superior design and provides more productive academic and social collaboration opportunities for students.

New GIBS Business School facility is created as a facility that makes it easier to execute events on both large and small scales; however, in addition to being easy to carry out events, it was also developed with taking into account travelling times, distances travelled for events, etc. All new physical features and design have been carefully analysed, tested, and analysed again; to provide better overall experiences to both students and faculty at the campus. Using a lot of space to host technology events is possible at GIBS; Built-in technologies (e.g., Internet connectivity) will be used to assist students in finding out more about the technology/event they wish to attend. The expanded space will enable GIBS to host an increased number of events and provide students with the opportunity to network with many companies using several technologies on-site.In addition to using the expanded technology spaces, GIBS has expanded areas within its existing infrastructure (e.g., in terms of existing facilities, event venues, and more) to allow greater flexibility for managing event attendees; and optimised the design of existing facilities (e.g. corridor layout, rooms' ceiling heights, etc.) so that more attendees can access them without becoming overwhelmed. Also, all new event space has ample (or well-structured) exhibit space for exhibitors and vendors.

During campus placements at GIBS Business School, recruiters are responsible for evaluating candidates via a structured set of evaluations that include both skills and attitude. To begin with, companies use academic grades, specialisation, internships, and resumes to assess potential candidates and narrow down their list of available candidates for the position being filled.Following this screening process, candidates may be required to complete various types of assessments including aptitude tests, group discussions, and/or case studies to evaluate analytical skills, communication skills, teamwork abilities, and approach to problem-solving.Lastly, the last part of the recruitment process consists of conducting personal interviews and technical interviews in order to assess domain knowledge, industry-related awareness and understanding, leadership potential and fit within the culture of the organisation, and self-confidence.Apart from the above factors, the recruiter also considers a candidate's level of ethical mindset, adaptability and level of practical experience gained from live projects, internships, and industry events, as encouraged by GIBS.
