The documents which are required for this purpose include passport-sized photographs, copies of the 10th and 12th mark sheets, and the graduation mark sheet/degree certificate in case of a PGDM/MBA applicant. The applicants also need to attach a valid entrance test scorecard (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT) for the PGDM course and photo identity proof in the form of an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport. Yes, in addition to national-level tests like the CAT, MAT, CMAT, and others, GIBS also offers an entrance exam called the GIBS Aptitude Test (GAT). Students who have not taken any national exams or who wish to increase their chances are the primary target audience. The exam is fairly easy; it only assesses your fundamental aptitude, communication, and reasoning abilities. Because it provides everyone with an equal opportunity to enroll in GIBS, I think it's a good choice.

Admissions to the BBA and PGDM programs in GIBS Business School, Bangalore, are thus carried out with a two-pronged approach: meeting academic and aptitude requirements for management education. For the BBA, admission requires that candidates should have completed 10+2 (or its equivalent) from any recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks in any stream, or students awaiting their 12th results can also apply. Regarding PGDM, applicants have to hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, securing at least 50% marks. For reserved category candidates, the minimum percentage is 45%. They must also have a valid score in any national-level entrance examination such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, or GMAT. Though not necessary, work experience adds value during the selection process. The final selections in both programs are based on academics, entrance scores in the case of PGDM, and a Personal Interview (PI) to assess overall aptitude and potential.

GIBS Business School has a holistic and structured selection process to screen the applicants. Candidates are shortlisted based on their test scores in CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT, or any other recognised entrance tests. First comes the minimum eligibility-a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognised university. After that, the score of the entrance exam is taken into consideration. GIBS then selects the applicants on the basis of their scores obtained in the entrance exams. The selected candidates are invited to appear for further selection processes, which also include a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI), apart from a Written Ability Test (WAT) in some cases. Their final selection is based on the composite performance in their academics, entrance examination scores, communication skills, leadership potential, and overall performance in GD and PI. This makes sure that the students chosen for GIBS have both the aptitude for academics and competence for managerial roles in business leader positions.
