GIBS continues to perform well in terms of placement performance. The 2025 placement season saw impressive results for GIBS' PGDM programme as well as the other programs at the school. GIBS achieved 100% placement rates for its eligible students, meaning every student that was eligible to be hired was offered at least one job. In all, there were 220 to 260 companies that came to campus during the recruiting process and offered positions across various industries, such as IT, consulting, finance, FMCG, manufacturing and others. According to sources, GIBS' the highest recorded package during this time was about ₹16.15 Lacs per annum, while the average salary was between ₹7.4 and ₹8.4 Lacs per annum, depending on the source of information and on which batch of students were being looked at. GIBS' placement process had a diversified group of employers participating in the process; for instance, approximately 80-90 companies were providing internships for students that year. By demonstrating the successful combination of industry partnerships, strong emphasis on training and development of students through practical experience, and ongoing commitment to student success in their search for career opportunities, GIBS has been able to show that they provide valuable results to the students and employers they serve.

I believe that I am a strong candidate for GIBS because of the combination of a sound academic foundation with practical skills and a strong willingness to learn. I have good communication and teamwork abilities, and problem-solving plus analytical thinking skills, important for Management Studies. Participation in various academic projects, presentations, and extracurricular activities helped me develop leadership, flexibility, and time management skills. I am also very motivated toward industry exposure, welcome mentorship, and very enthusiastic about active contribution on campus, all of which goes very well with the industry-focused, holistic learning environment at GIBS.

The classrooms and labs are modern, and classes are taught in a simple, understandable way. Faculty explain concepts clearly, share real examples, and keep sessions interactive, which really helps in learning.Placements are always in the background of everything we do. Teachers guide us keeping interviews and jobs in mind, and there are regular placement-related sessions and talks happening on campus.Overall, the campus supports good teaching, placement preparation, and a positive student environment, which is what matters most to us.

Most students who finish their graduation At GIBS Bangalore, the eligibility to apply for PGDM or BBA is pretty straightforward and student-friendly.For PGDM, you just need to have completed your bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Most students who finish their graduation with a passing score (around 50% or equivalent) can apply. Along with that, having a score from entrance exams like CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT/State CET helps in the admission process, but the overall profile and interview also matter. For BBA, you need to have completed your 10+2 (12th standard) from a recognised board. Again, there's no super high cutoff — if you pass your 12th and meet the basic criteria, you're eligible to apply. As long as you've finished the required previous education level (12th for BBA, graduation for PGDM) with a reasonable score, you can go ahead and apply to GIBS.

GIBS does not publish an official acceptance rate; however, overall admissions are considered moderately competitive based on available pointers. Selection will be based on various factors, such as entrance scores, academic profile, and a good performance in the GD/PI rounds, which carry considerable weightage. The institute accepts all sets of exam scores such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., with regular cutoffs such as around 60 percentile for exams like ATMA. Batch data also reflects that 76% of PGDM students are freshers, which means that while many applicants have been admitted, candidates still need to possess a strong profile to stand out. Overall, GIBS holds a balanced record on selectiveness, where a student needs to reflect good performance on the exam, strong communication skills, and a well-rounded profile.

Indeed, at GIBS, we have developed various programs designed specifically for recognizing faculty for their accomplishments in teaching and research through awards, certificates and appreciation events. Faculty who excel at delivering engaging classroom experiences, mentoring students, using innovative teaching techniques etc. will receive awards throughout the year during our various academic ceremonies. In addition to those faculty members being recognised, we also acknowledge faculty members who contribute to developing new knowledge through academic research, publications and industry partnerships, as well as improving GIBS' reputation by enhancing its position within the community. Not only do these recognitions motivate and inspire faculty, but also demonstrate to our students the examples that exist of successful academics and professionals. All of these initiatives foster a culture of appreciation, innovation and continuous improvement within GIBS.
