Sir, the National Institute of Design does not have preferred NRI quota seats. Instead, it provides admission in the following categories:
1. General
2. General (EWS)
3. Scheduled Caste (SC)
4. Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL)
5. Scheduled Tribe (ST)
6. Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
Apart from that, it provides admission to 15% of seats under the Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category. For this quota, the applicant must be a citizen of a foreign country. These seats are available at the NID Ahmedabad and the NID Madhya Pradesh.
