Online registration starts in the last week of October and ends in the last week of December. GAT is held in the last week of January.

Yes, you can get fashion designing. Please check last merit rank admitted in 2017 at http://nift.ac.in. You may not get the top 5 colleges but still you can go for 2nd round of counselling. All the best for your admission.

The last admitted rank in NIFT-Patna in 2018 was 567 CMR. I'd say settle for any seat you get and apply till the last round of counselling as your chances are low. You can always work harder in your first year and then transfer to another coll

I don't understand what 'valid by the government' is. NIFT has a diploma program in fashion design and a 6 month certificate course. It hard to say how much you'll earn and how 'practical' it is. You can make uuseful contacts during your time
