I have got NIT Patna through GATE for M.Tech. Is it a good college for civil department?

Yes, it is good for the civil department. It provides a great exposure as NIT Patna has tie-ups with some private contractors who are making the flyovers and bridges in Patna. So some of the students frequently visit the sites for exposure.
