When comparing Lovely Professional University (LPU) with Panjab University (PU), the overall experience, infrastructure, industry exposure, and placement opportunities at LPU make it a far better option for a modern, career-oriented education. PU is a traditional, government university with a long academic legacy, but LPU excels in areas that matter most to today's students—technology integration, global exposure, and placement outcomes. LPU offers a highly updated curriculum designed in collaboration with industry leaders. For fields like CSE, Management, Biotechnology, Design, and others, LPU provides advanced labs, real-time project opportunities, hackathons, and training programs that prepare students for real-world careers. PU, being an older institution, often follows a more traditional approach, with fewer industry-linked modules and comparatively limited hands-on exposure. In placements, LPU is undeniably ahead. The university attracts top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Bosch, and many international companies. Record packages exceeding ₹1 crore have been offered to LPU students. PU, on the other hand, offers decent placements but mainly for specific departments and with comparatively lower salary ranges. Infrastructure is another area where LPU clearly wins. With a vast campus, state-of-the-art laboratories, studios, libraries, hostels, and sports complexes, LPU offers a complete university experience. PU's facilities, while respectable, are not as advanced or industry-focused. Overall, if you want a university that combines academics, placements, global exposure, and modern campus life, LPU is the unquestionably better choice.

In the case of B.Com 2 and Year admissions candidates are generally normal continuation/re-registration of students only as opposed to 1 st Year admission where new admissions are made. Although no definite dates of re-registration are necessarily announced as being the start of admissions, the academic calendar shows that the first-semester (odd semesters) of continuing UG classes is normally scheduled to begin on or about July 22, 2025. Thus students are expected to re-register and remit fees in July 2025 so that they can be ready to join the classes at the beginning of the new session. The official web site of the university or the department of B.Com will be the best site to visit to know the definite re-registration schedule.
