In addition to the fees one can have anything and everything he/she wants to but there's nothing compulsory. If you want to buy a DSLR you can. It will help anyway but you also have the option to not to buy. Having a pc with certain software will be great as you may practice and work with them. But you don't wanna have them it totally depends on you.
In addition to the fees, you will need some amount of money as you have to contribute to making various films throughout the course period. How much will you pay as a contribution and how cheap can you make the films; totally depends on you.
If you ask me what was my extra expenditures, I would say it's not much. I got a DSLR that was my personal one which I used for the course works and I contributed near about 10,000 throughout 6 semesters to make films.

You can do CA course along with your B.Com honours from Xavier's but you have to consider following points:
1. While taking admission in CA you have to write a letter to ICAI for the course i.e. B.Com you are doing from Xavier's.
2. In Xavier's College you can submit your registration letter which you will receive from ICAI in order to get some concession regarding attendance because for professional course there is some concession in the attendance.

Hi Shekhar, you can apply. One can apply from any recognised board. Go through the eligibility criteria of the particular subject you want to opt. If you are eligible you can apply for sure and rest depends on the merit list. You can take admission if you are selected. All the best.

You have wow marks.You are definitely eligible for it as for applying in St Xavier's College, Kolkata you must have 60% in physics and 60% in mathematics.
About the merit listing par, I think you should be cracking it.

There is no such fixed cutoff, other than a minimum of 75% required to apply for the course. Some courses like the Mathematics and Physics have an entrance test. In other streams, the cutoffs can be expected 92-93 for state boards and 95+ for ISC/CBSE candidates. There are secondary merit lists too and four different categories to apply from. That is actually an excellent planning. We have our own placement cell in Xavier's, giving job opportunities to people with flying marks.
You will have a good placement if you really work hard.
The competition in St. Xavier's is pretty high. But I'm sure you are going to make it through.
