Hi Muktadeep,
Sorry for being so late, somehow I missed your question.
Anyway, my take on MCV of my college is okay. I personally wanted to study journalism, the core journalism & mass communication, but when I heard about SXCKOL's MCV being the best mass communication & journalism course then I decided to take admission without wasting any time as I already found my name on the merit list. At that time, I wasn't aware of the subjects which are taught in details. My mindset was pretty journalism oriented.
After few weeks or rather 1 or 2 months, I realized that it's more film oriented than journalism. Film would be an imperfect word, mass media or communication would be the right word. I asked myself why I'm here? After one semester, I started realizing that journalism part is really good if I compare with some other media schools where my friends are studying. We have learned about every possible journalism field like print, TV, Radio, web, etc. And after talking to some professors and alumni, I became pretty sure that I didn't choose a wrong place. Those seniors told that after entering the industry they never faced any problem in any kind of work as they already learned every aspect of media field. Our professors feel glad as they get to know that the course structure and their teaching made the lives of their students better. More options and opportunities for our seniors who are now working was available.
So, basically, you will be prepared for every possible media job, you will learn how to look at things, think critically & analytically. You will have a world of opportunities & options after becoming a MCV graduate from SXCKOL.
Go through my prev. & upcoming answers you'll know more.
You can go to our college website also and see the course structure, it'll give you a more clear picture.
All the best.

Hi Aryaman,
You asked the question way back in last year's June. It is really unfortunate that you didn't get any answer. I wasn't there at that time.
Anyway, the cut off for reserved categories' applicants are never disclosed. It's a mystery.

Presently, SXCKOL is the best college rather an institute under UGC all over India with a score of 3.77 out of 4 and I am not saying this, it's according to the NAAC.
