The admission process is SVIST into B.E./B.Tech programs, and general merit candidates must score not less than 45 percent marks in 10 plus 2 (aggregate of 40 percent for reserved category candidates) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. The main route is WBJEE or JEE Main, followed by counseling by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.In this case, students compatible with the merit list will apply through the WBJEE portal, selecting SVIST in consideration. Direct admission would be given only on the management quota seats concerning eligibility and availability, by a route through the admission office of the college. Therefore, applicants will have to submit a 10+2 mark sheet, either of the entrance exams taken, and an identity document.
