Tough is not the right way to describe it but you need to be thoroughly prepared . Take help from some coaching institutes if GD/PI worries you.

No its not very tough, you can convert both. HR may be relatively easier to convert though. Prepare well for the GD/PI.

I scored 54.8% and have 2 years of gap. If I get a good percentile, will I get admission here?

Definitely, if you score really well in XAT (as last year 65% weightage was given to xat score) and if in even interview round you justify your year gap, you can get an admit to xlri

Read newspapers, good novels to improve your reading speed and skilll. On top of that join any good mock test series for practise. They provide you with enough questions to practise

But if you have scored exceptionally well in XAT and cleared all sectional cutoffs, then you will surely get the call.

Its always depending on how you perform in your interviews. If you can justify your year gap well and you have something in tour profile which can impress the panel then you stand a chance. But xat score is very important in any case

If you want to pursue MBA from India, there is a clear-cut winner in IIM Ahemadabad. While, if you are thinking of doing MBA from abroad, then answer can vary.

Do the Indian B-schools like IIMs, SP Jain, XLRI, etc, accept GMAT score for Indian students or are GMAT scores only for NRI students?

Hi Vijaya,
They accept GMAT for Indian students as well. Since, CAT is administered only in India foreign nationals may find it difficult to come to India to write the CAT. Different business schools have different requirements. For example, IIM Bangalore do not actually accept CAT score but only GMAT or GRE irrespective of nationality. I will suggest you check also the websites of these business schools.
I hope, I have answered your query.
Good Luck.
