To be eligible for admission to EPGDM at XLRI Jamshedpur candidates are required to Pass bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised board with at least five years of full-time work experience after graduation. Further, candidates must appear for the accepted entrance exam XAT/ GMAT /GRE. Additionally, candidates minimum age is 25 years as of 31st March of the year in which the PGDM (GM) programme commences. After fulfillment of the eligibility criteria, candidates are required to visit the official website of the university to apply online.

The college is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), AIU (Association of Indian Universities), and GOI (Government of India), and is accredited by AACSB, AMBA, and NBA. In the NIRF rankings 2024, XLRI - Xavier School of Management in Jamshedpur was ranked 9th among Management institutes in India. XLRI offers full-time Management courses as well as part-time and Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) courses for working executives. The the highest international and domestic package offered during the XLRI placement drive 2025 were INR 110 LPA and INR 75 LPA, respectively. The college has experienced faculty members. XLRI Jamshedpur offers various scholarships, including merit-based, need-based, and those from corporate sponsors, with amounts ranging from INR 25 K to INR 5 Lacs per year.
