Yes, Germany offers thousands of international degree courses completely taught in English. Especially at the PG and PhD levels. However, obtaining basic German language skills (A1/A2 level) is strongly advised to successfully manage your daily routines and secure part-time student jobs.

German language proficiency requirement varies as per the course levels. A few of the Master's courses taught in English also require some level of German language skills. Applying for a degree programme at Free University of Berlin may require students to submit one of the following certificates-
- C1 CEFR Certificate
- TestDAF with at least level 4 in two parts and level 3 in two parts
- DSH 1

No. The 4–12 week processing time refers to the period after your biometrics appointment at the embassy. The CSP waiting list is a separate one. This is an extra 2–8 weeks (or more) before you even reach the biometrics stage.

Yes, it is compulsory for non EE/EU students to complete the German proficiency tests with minimum grades in order to be qualified for B.Tech courses at University of Bonn.

For students and fresh graduates, 1 page is fine. For candidates with experience, up to 2 pages is acceptable. Never go beyond 2 pages.

Yes. A professional photo is expected in Germany. It is placed at the top right corner and should be a formal headshot (4.5x6cm) with a neutral background.

Yes. A Lebenslauf follows a strict format with a professional photo, date of birth, complete address, CEFR language levels and a signature at the bottom. An Indian or US-style resume will not meet German expectations.
