Primary reasons for rejection of the French student visa fall into these main categories -

  1. having insufficient funds for living expenses - students must rather have a steady amount for at least 3 to 6 months in their bank account

Yes - the field of study you choose can become one of the major reasons for receiving a rejection on your French student visa application. The visa authorities assess your profile on the basis of your study experience, work experience and Letter of recommendations and if they find that the course or major you choose to study in France is highly irrelevant to your previous qualifications, then they might give you a rejection on your visa aaplication.

Indian students planning to enrol in UG courses at Uni Geneva do need to have a good understanding of French as most UG courses are taught in this language.

However, at the PG level, only a select few programs are French-taught. Most PG programs allow admissions based on English-proficiency.

Pursuing a B.Ed from Delhi University in 2025 after completing B.A. (Hons) French in 2021 is a very practical route if your goal is to become a French teacher. The gap of a few years does not affect eligibility, as long as you meet the marks requirement (minimum 50% in graduation, 45% for reserved categories).

Why B.Ed from DU is a Good Choice

  • Eligibility: Your B.A. (Hons) French qualifies you for B.Ed, since DU accepts graduates from recognised disciplines.
  • Specialization: You can choose Language Education (French) as your teaching subject.
  • Recognition: DU's B.Ed is NCTE-approved, making you eligible for CTET, State TETs, and schoo

Yes, to get admitted to the University of Luxembourg as an Indian student, you would need all your academic documents to be issued in English, German or French

All the documents are given below -

  • Academic transcripts
  • Records
  • An updated CV

These would be required to be translated in these official languages. To get the application properly assessed, it is an important requirement.

Universities in France have two intakes for international students - Fall Intake (September/October) and Spring Intake (January/February). The Fall intake is the primary and most popular intake offering the widest range of programs. Spring intake serves as a secondary intake with limited - mostly postgraduate or business-focused programs.

For English speakers? Yes! The main reason is that, since Spanish is a Phonetic language, you can easily pronounce the terms as you spell, but not in the case of French. French has silent letters, complicated vowel sounds, nasal sounds, and "liaisons" (linking sounds between words), making it more difficult to grasp. But regular practice will help you a lot.

If you're looking for free tools that do decent work, consider Google Translate, DeepL Translator, Microsoft Translator, Reverso, and Quillbot. If you're an iPhone user, you will have a default Translate app on your phone, which I believe works fine. By the way, DeepL Translator, Reverso, etc., tools have paid versions as well, for professional translation and additional features. You can check out their homepages for more details.
