<p>For NIT Hamirpur M.Tech admissions, CCMT counselling takes place. This happens in three rounds so that the seats can be filled by suitable candidates. If the seats are vacant after three rounds of CCMT counselling then the seats are allotted through National Spot Round (NSR) Counselling. Candidates who have a valid GATE score should appear for CCMT Counselling to get provisional admission into the M.Tech programme.</p>

<p>No, candidates can not get into NIT Hamirpur M.Tech without taking the GATE exam. It is the only entrance exam the university recognises for admission into the M.Tech programme. Candidates with a valid GATE score will have to appear for CCMT counselling to get provisional admission into the university. Therefore, a valid GATE score is necessary and candidates can not gain admission without it.</p>

<p>NIT Hamirpur M.Tech admission takes place through the merit secured in GATE entrance examinations. Candidates with a valid GATE score will have to apply for CCMT counselling to apply for admission into the programme once they have appeared for the exam. Once the exam results are announced, candidates have to be part of the counselling process to get provisional admission into the programme. Admission is only finalised when the candidate has done the document verification and paid some amount of the tuition fee.</p>
