JEE Mains 23 Jan Shift 1 Paper Analysis OUT

According to early reactions of students, JEE Main Jan 23 Shift 1 paper was moderately tough. Out of all sections, Mathematics was moderate but had lengthy questions. Physics was moderately difficult while Chemistry was moderate. Students found all sections time consuming. Most questions in Chemistry section were from Organic and there were 3 statement questions. In Physics, there were questions from de-Broglie equation, Electrostatics, Capacitor. Mathematics had questions from Vector 3D, Matrices, Conic Section, Sequence Series. As per students, 170 to 180 marks is expected to bring 99 percentile in JEE Mains 2026 exam.

Based on initial student reactions, JEE Main 2026 January 22 Shift 2 was the toughest shift till now. Mathematics was lengthy and tough with many questions from Vector 3D, Integration, Functions and Sets. Higher weightage was given to Organic Chemistry section. Physics was easy to moderate and had more questions from 12th subjects.

According to student reactions, JEE Main January 21 Shift 1 exam was moderate to tough. Overall, Chemistry was the easiest section, while Mathematics and Physics were moderate to tough. However, Mathematics was easier than expected by some students. Some Chemistry questions had more than four statements. Physics section gave more weightage to Modern Physics, Wave motions, Vector Physics. In Chemistry, there were more questions from Organic Chemistry. Mathematics had more questions from Differential equation. There were no questions out of syllabus.

Based on student and coaching expert analysis of exam shifts until now, JEE Main Jan 23 Shift 2 is being considered toughest shift of January session. Overall, the paper was moderately difficult, but questions were lengthy and time consuming. There were many mixed concept questions, which were equivalent to JEE Advanced level. Tougher shifts in exam usually results in lower marks required in percentile.

JEE Mains Session 1 Result

National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Mains result 2026 for Session 1 exam. Candidates can now check their obtained scores through JEE mains result at jeemain.nta.nic.in. No other mode has been used to make the result announcement. To qualify exam, no minimum JEE mains cutoff is required. However, there is qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE Advanced exam. NTA will release the All India Ranks along with the result for Session 2 exam.

JEE Main 2026 Rank Predictor

Candidates can use online JEE Main 2026 rank predictor tool by Shiksha to determine their ranks before official results are announced. To calculate probable JEE Main rank, they will have to submit their percentile or scores obtained in exam.
