If there is choice between CA , PGDM at Tier I IIM or MBA top B schools, I will recommend MBA at Tier I IIMs as the best option. In India acceptance of MBA from IIM Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Calcutta and Lucknow is highest. Generally chances of getting excellent first job after PGDM from IIMs is highest and gives a kick start to career. After that its your effort which will take you forward.
It's possible yet extremely difficult to manage studying for equally difficult courses like these two simultaneously.

The CA course is difficult and if you pass, there are no limits to success. It involves more of financial analysis and calculations. MBA on the other hand is more into management. If you are interested in finance, you can take MBA in finance. With MBA, the scope and area of operations is broader.
Hello Soham,
MBA with finance specialisation and M.Com are two options for any commerce graduate.
Key difference-
MBA is considered as a general degree which enables students to learn about lot of areas. But most of these subjects will not provide students with in depth knowledge. The students of MBA specialising in a particular subject like finance will get excellent experience and know-how in that particular field. An MBA is considered to be one of the most valued degrees all over the world, if it is from a reputed institution. One of the main differences between MBA finance and M.Com is the fees of the course.

Yes, you can do Master of Arts (M.A) after completing B.Com and B.Ed. However, it is important to note that you do not need an MA. Some universities offer candidates an M.A. degree with certificate. If you are pursuing MA in the humanities or social sciences then you should choose relevant subjects such as psychology, sociology, or history. However, if you are interested in studying a business-related subject such as finance or management, you must have a background in that subject before you are eligible to apply.

Both are equally good and well known name in education. For B.Com you should choose the cheaper one although Symbosis is a brand and well known for professional courses but I would prefer Xavier as it is cheaper and has good brand value in job market.

Hello Parth,
Ideally, B.Com is suitable with CA. It will help you build a very good foundation in account and finance. But, you should check your aptitude and interests, and then decide.
You can do BCom from Xaviers. But if you are keen on doing MBA afterwards, take up BBA course. It will help you with your MBA target. But know this, BBA is a one way course. You can do only MBA after BBA. But if you do BCom, you can go for MBA, MCom, CA, LLB, etc.
Dear Thumma, courses in finance, financial services, general management, banking and finance would be ideal. No course can guarantee you a good future if you don't have the skillset and don't enjoy your work. So, have a vision of your career and choose whether you want to be in management or handle finance.
Best Wishes

Yes, you heard it right, B.Com majorly gives jobs like that of "Financial Analyst or Manager" because it deals more with statistics, finance and economics.

MBA in international business is a sufficient qualification to start career in companies in the area of import and export of goods and services, global shipping companies, international logistics & courier companies, clearing houses, international consultancy firms, trade bodies, foreign embassies, own consultancy, banking industry particularly in foreign exchange business, IT companies in Presales support & BA roles, Data Analyst etc. If you want to change your specialization because of some reasons or want to gain knowledge on commerce subjects, you can go ahead.
While commerce ppl do hv an edge in understanding the basics of management, the IIMs and other institutes have an intake for all irrespective of streams. The reason for the same is that the industries are not compartmentalized like sciences, commerce and humanities. In an ngo, you need to know the Business management and laws too. Similarly, a pharma company will require marketing and administration so choose a course of your liking so that you can excell.
