Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

Dear Sail!
Ideally, you can choose any one of them for MBA in Finance. But my preference will go for BBA (Hons) in Finance. Because in B.Com the more concerned is on the Accounting. However in BBA/BMS you will get all the aspects of Management at preliminary levels. Sail, at last it depends upon your choice and future goals but take BBA as your 'Best Fit'. Hope this helps. Upvote the answer if you feel satisfied. Ask any query at anytime.
Good Luck.

Yes, you can pursue MBA in any specialisation regardless of any commerce background. Students from various fields like B.Tech CSE, B.Tech mechanical and many other pursue MBA. But one must clear an equivalent test for admission. One must have a good percentile or rank in CMAT, XAT or CAT. In some private universities these test are not compulsory, they have their own test for eligibility and sometimes these CAT like test are used for giving scholarship according to rank and score.

You need at least 50% in your graduation to be eligible for entrance exams. As far as IIMs are concerned you need to score beyond 97 percentile and also have a good consistent score in you academics throughout, they do check that. Good Luck Mate.

I think BA is much better option, because it will add a professional degree to your career. Giving 3 years to B.Com is not so worthy. So, rather than doing B.Com, you should go for BA. You will get better job opportunities and will be helpful in building successful career.

Your placement depends on your scorecard and your negotiating capability with the employer at the time of the interview. The better and confidently you represent yourself with honesty, the better are your prospects of getting selected. So, just focus on your studies.
I hope this would suffice. All the best and god bless you.

MBA in finance is the best option for you, if you are pursuing B.Com. Try to score above 50% and appear for CAT and MAT. I am of the opinion that one must not pursue BBA, to go for MBA finance. B.Com makes you proficient in core commerce knowledge and with some management skills learnt in MBA, you can do wonders. I am a student of Management of Doon Business School, Dehradun. The college came into existence 12 years ago and the placement records have been excellent over the years.

Honestly, if you have time I would suggest you to pursue both. You'll finish B.Com by 21, and M.Com by 23. You can strengthen your knowledge in accounts, tax, management, and finance, all of which are important at a management school. Furthermore, you can use the time to ramp up CAT preparations, learn a foreign language, or get a year’s work experience. Also, M.Com isn't very expensive either. Give CAT in the last year of M.Com and you'll start your management course at 23, which is around the average age of an IIM student who is a fresher. Moving on to your question, MBA and M.Com, both are good, but their operations are somewhat diffe... View more

No, do not think of working under CA or someone else at this stage. You can do MBA in Finance. I recommend you to try clearing first level of CFA if you are extremely interested in finance. As you are a mechanical engineer, clearing first level of CFA before starting MBA will help you a lot in MBA and for placements. Besides, if you are still exploring finance and not sure then do small courses provided by NSE and BSE Institute. All the best.

You can go through the following instructions. The interested candidates can apply for the course they are interested in through the website of the particular exam.
The candidate then needs to download the hall ticket on the specified date for the release of the hall ticket.
The candidate then appears for the entrance exam and wait for the results in the year 2019.
Once the results are out the college releases the admission notification through the official website and the candidates can apply for the colleges in the college campus after seeing the eligibility criteria of the admission in MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
