Engineer | Author,

Hi Parvez,
Atleast 55% is required to get into a bottom ranked university. Higher the grades the better. An IELTS score of 6.5 is required for majority of the PG programs. Also, you have to know that a three year Bachelor degree is not easily acceptable in Canada. Secondly, 2-3 years of work experience and a GMAT score is also required for admissions into an MBA program.

If you are interested in IT sector or in computers then please go for B.Sc IT and if you are interested in commerce sector or want to become a CA then go for B.Com.
But only doing B.Com is not good because there are lakhs and lakhs of student with B.Com.
B.Com + CA is good. As far as B.Sc IT is concerned, it is very good even if you do not do any other course with it i.e. only doing B.Sc IT and only on the basis of B.Sc IT (provided you have skills), you can get a job in an IT company.
After B.Sc IT, post graduation course like MCA can be more beneficial. So, it really depends on your interest.

You can pursue the following-
MBA
MFA
MBE
M.Com
CS
Apart from this one can even do certification courses in the following-
Fund management
Asset management
Financial risk management
Stock manager/investor
However the best option will be to complete any of the above courses along with a certification course. This will improve the profile and give you a cutting edge from those of your competitors. Besides this one can even do-

Hi Rishabh, there are 2 stages that a candidate goes through before getting selected for IIM-Ahmedabad PGP programme. The first stage is appearing for the CAT (or GMAT exam conducted by the IIMs). On clearing the required cut-offs and the composite score CS which includes, but is not limited to 10th,12th and graduation marks, a candidate is called for Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). From 2015 onwards, WAT has been replaced by Academic Writing Test (AWT). Final selection is done on the basis of FCS (Final Composite Score), which takes into account PI, AWT, and CS calculated at the previous stage. Good luck!

Simple but significant,

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Since it is not possible to take advantage of the ACCA membership to get exemptions from the US CPA exam, I suggest that you target one not both. Regarding which qualification is better, it is like a question on Coca Cola vs. Pepsi: it really depends on where you plan to work. For ACCA, the application process is much simpler, and the entry barrier is lower than the CPA. However, it takes years to complete the studies and obtain membership. While ACCA is globally recognised, it is not as highly regarded outside the UK and Commonwealth countries. The US CPA is arguably the most prestigious accounting qualifi... View more
