Firstly talking about these courses,
CA- Good option but as of now not so highly reputed as it use to be,neither placements are so good,coz every next student is going in CA.
No one guarantee's that you will be CA in a certain period of time it might take 4.5Years or more than what one can imagine.
BA LLB- A good option best part is you will be getting degree in 5years that's for sure. now talking about package that is upto your own skills.universities can assure you one thing that campus placements will be there but not job that is entirly upto your skills and abilities.
So these are few ground realities.

If you are interested in marketing and advertising, then you can go for MBA programme in marketing or any equivalent degree or Diploma in marketing to enhance your skill of marketing and please pursue this as your career if you are really interested in this as it is the only thing which will make you excel in your career. You can pursue MBA from IGNOU at relatively cheaper price and also through correspondence. But if you don't want it then you pursue M.Com or BA/B.Sc in Statistics, Analytics, etc.

What do you mean by occasional student? If its distance learning that you are refereeing to, yes, you can pursue MCA post completion of BCOM degree from a recognised university either through full time or distance learning with minimum 50% marks at graduation.

You can go for MBA even if your course is a correspondence one and getting a good college depends upon your preparation and your CAT and other entrance exams score. And as for getting a good placement it will be totally on your performance during the college and your effort towards it.
