as per UGC regulation of 2009 and 2015, any institute cannot offer PhD in distance mode it has to be either full time or part time with certain condition attached to it. A PhD degree through distance learning is invalid. few private universities offer such options but those options are bad for you and your career. yes, you can do PhD from your workplace but at least 6 months you have to spend in college/ university frequently for pre PhD coursework

You can pursue both, MBA and M.Com simultaneously, in which one should be regular, and other should be through distance mode. But, it will be difficult for you to manage both the courses. Also, distance education modes are for only working professionals, and has very less value. MBA from a reputed B-Schools are considered good as for placements and career growth.

Hi Gargi, both are good in their own way. MBA would obviously be a better choice especially if you are interested in finance, marketing, human resources, operations or IT. These are the specializations available in India where MBA is concerned. Masters of Commerce in accounts and finance would be an ideal choice for someone who is interested in going into the finance field. If you are pursuing CMA, CFA or CA then it would be a good advantage for you to have a postgraduate degree along side, besides M.Com is really easy for those pursuing/who have finished the above professional degrees. Hi Susmitha, where do you wish to study? Your budget is on the lower side and top ranking MBA schools are quite expensive. I don't see scholarship chances as well. You must also have work experience for MBA abroad. To bear the expenses you can check education loan from banks like SBI, PNB etc. For MBA abroad check here for the universities
