Now, there is only one option that you have, that is you have to go for private colleges to pursue your engineering.

Syllabus of CSE and IT branches overlaps upto 80% but course content of CSE is more rigorous in comparison to IT. Also CSE class composition is topper of Engineering Entrance Examinations therefore scoring good marks become tougher particularly in colleges where there is relative grading system of marking. Thus IT is relatively easier in comparison to CSE.

See dear, both branches are good enough to provide you good job. But, nowadays CSE is one of the best branches that has best placement record. B.Arch is also good. Before joining, you need to learn nothing for CSE. They will teach you everything from 1st semester onwards, so nothing to be worry. Still, if you know C+, Java from before then it is too good everything will be easy for you mainly the programming, but it is not that necessary. You will get to know everything after joining. You may apply for colleges which requires only board exam scores and not any entrance exams. Most of the government colleges have such type of admission. And, JEE Mains is only one of the ways to get a good college, not the only way.

These days, the preferred branch of almost all the candidates is CSE. As a result of this, under all categories only the top students can get into this branch. So is the case with your category. Yes, you can do your graduation in CS. There are a lot of organizations who take up students less than required percentage. But friend what will you do after your graduation.
