Which course is better (MCA or M.Sc)? The career opportunities for both these graduates are many. But most MNCs prefer MCA graduates to M.Sc. graduates. This is because the MCA graduates are well aware of the software applications. But for developing new software, M.Sc. graduates are preferred. MCAs are most suitable for the working purposes in various companies. While considering a bright career, MCA course will be better than M.Sc. computer Science. Regards.

Hi Prince,
Game industry roles are well diversified. I answered a console game workflow sometime back (Rajat Ojha's answer to What is the workflow for developing console games?). Of course mobile games are less demanding but you need to first figure out what you want to do in the game industry. Considering the fact that you want to be a programmer, its a great start. Focus on problem solving and mathematics as much as you can. Technologies will keep changing, basics dont.
You can pick any simple game engine like Unity of Game Maker. Id suggest to go with Unity as community is huge, tons of videos, samples etc youll get and its very... View more

Hello Simran,
It's indeed very heartening to see that you have already set a goal for yourself. Half the battle is won. But, normally, for admission to Ph.D, the basic eligibility is to have PG in this subject. Of course, there are some institutions which give admission to integrated PG+Ph.D course. TIFR is one such. But you need to find out if it is offering subject of your choice.

Yes, you can pursue both the courses together. Arena multimedia is a good institute to pursue the same. Also, I would suggest if possible learn animation from a real professional.

<p>With a 18600 rank in KCET 2024, getting CSE at RVCE Bengaluru might be difficult as it has excessive cutoffs. But don't lose desire! You can try for other top colleges in Bengaluru or Mysore like BMS College of Engineering, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, or PES University. Check their last yr's cutoffs, as it could come up with a better idea. Always have some backup options simply in case!</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

In order to become a programmer, you must pursue B.Tech in CSE as you can see most of UG engineering students make their own website. If you are planning to become a programmer, B.Tech is the best option. B.Sc (Hons) in CS will only fetch teaching and government jobs in India and BCA is good for placement if you are interested in working in a company. After completing your graduation, you can opt for government jobs too. As per me, B.Tech is a good option for JEE rank holder, if you are an average student, then go for BCA. Please do not do B.Sc in CS because you can only hope for teaching or government jobs. You can also go for specialised... View more

Frankly speaking, it depends on the college you go to unless you are a self-taught guy and can learn concepts like Data structures on your own. One thing I would suggest is along with the courses you are taking at your college enrol in the same courses online on websites like Coursera. These courses are taught by professors from Stanford and other elite Universities. You will benefit a lot from it. Also code as much you can. If you wanted to be a developer one key thing is you should code, code and code.
