For GD in SICSR, you go through current affairs but if you are lucky enough you would be getting a very general topic. for eg, I had got "should students be allowed to carry cell phones in colleges?" so if your communication skills are excellent, you really don't have to worry. Again in WAT, you will be given 6 to 8 topics out of which you have to write few words on one so it's the easiest round. The most influential round is PI. All you have to take care of is being yourself. Do not fake and be confident. If you have a work experience they would ask you regarding that else some college projects and other behavioral aspects such as whether... View more

Hello,There are basically 4 sections in MBA entrance exam - Verbal Ability, DILR, Quants and GK-
Verbal Ability:
Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do a proper analysis of articles on the editorial page. Try to make a summary of articles that you read para by para. But reading a newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis. DILR
This is one of the toughest section, especially from previous 2-3 years. Not only it is tough but it also checks how quick your senses are and how good you are in selecting the se... View more

In my opinion, none of these are the best. One of the best coaching centers for Bank PO is Vidya Guru. The best faculty of teaching are available here. I am the student of Vidya Guru Tilak Nagar Branch & I am very much satisfy with that. They give their own study material and test series also. The teachers are taking one to one doubt session after the class. They teach the lot of speed tips and short tricks which is very helpful in solving any question in less time. Before, joining the institute I am very weak in maths & English, but now I am improving a lot & it is possible only with the help of coaching of Vidya Guru. My cousin is also d... View more

Lecturer, NUS,

Hi Shivam,
There is no definite answer to this. 12th boards are not easy and 10 days too less a time to prepare, if you have revised earlier you should start solving previous years question papers and check important notes and questions provided to you by your teachers. Learning something new won't help this late and revise the important topics you attempted the previous day, keep at least an hour for the previous day revision.

Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

It depends on you. If dropping one year makes yourself sure that yes, you can take admission in a good IIT then dropping 1 year is fine but after even investing your one year if you are not getting into IIT or not getting desired job it is truly waste. So, please make yourself sure and confident that Yes, you can get into IITs.
Otherwise, your second option is also not bad. But you get less career opportunities there.
Best of luck.

Hello Jonathan,
To get into IIT B, you have to clear two exams. Firstly JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. Of course, you have to score above 75% in your 12th also. Then, for specific course in a specific IIT, you need to be in a relatively higher percentile bracket.
Best wishes.

Hello Manoj Bhatt,
Try clearing all the concepts that you find a little bit tough. Immense practice is what one requires to crack IIT - JEE. Solve various question papers every now and then, try finding questions that require a multi step approach to solve. In case of any difficulty, ask your doubts, it is necessary to have your doubts cleared. Once you master a topic, solve as many tough questions as you can.

Indeed, HR is an attractive career option, provided that you love team work, have a high EQ (Emotional Quotient), enjoy interacting with people, etc.
Make an informed decision considering your interest, else there is no dearth of opportunity for talented professionals.
For the preparation in general, you can go through:
1) The organizational structure with respect to workforce structuring,
2) Read and understand best HR practices going around as published in reports/blogs/sites,
3) Understand the employment laws/Statutory requirement of government across levels, i.e. from lower to top level for HR practices and likewise.
