No it is not allowed. On scree calculator can be used during the exam. Candidates who are more comfortable using pen and paper for calculations can opt for that too.
There is no provision to change the test centre after the XAT admit card has been released. You can change your XAT test centre only once at the time of filling up the XAT application form. Once submitted, the XAT application form is not editable. There is no other way a candidate can change the test city option. They will have to appear for the exam in the city and at the test centre mentioned in their XAT admit card. They cannot even seek entry in another test centre for appearing in the exam. Insisting on doing so may get them disqualified.
Thus, candidates must fill the test city options in the XAT application form very carefully or arrange for travel and stay in the city where you have been allotted the exam centre.
XAT Exam Day Instructions
XAT 2026 will be conducted at various examination centres in 109 cities across India. The exam will be conducted under strict vigilance and CCTV. There are certain guidelines that the candidates have to follow at the test centre. Listed below are some of the key XAT exam day guidelines.
- Reach the XAT exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on admit card to complete the identification process.
- Present documents (admit card and ID) at the time of identification and follow the procedure.
- Once inside the XAT exam hall, locate your computer system and take a seat. Do not start the computer system until asked by the invigilator.
- If your computer malfunctions, inform the invigilator immediately. Do not wait and waste time.
- Read the XAT exam instructions carefully. Any confusion on misperception can affect your score.

The XAT admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the examination hall and must be presented for inspection by the invigilator. Digital or photocopy of the admit card will not be accepted.
