Lecturer, NUS,

This is the ideal time to prepare, remember you must focus on your board exams so manage accordingly. You can also reattempt SAT as many times you want, so a good strategy is to prepare now and take the SAT before your boards. If required you can retake. This way you need not drop a year after 12th and can immediately start applying to the universities during and after your boards. Do well.

Hello Angad,
It's very nice to see that even though you are in class 10th, you have started thinking about JEE Mains and Advanced. Any exam seems quite tough at first glance but as one prepares for it, it becomes simpler and simpler. As per the news article in newspapers, from 2018 onwards there will be only on pan India test conducted by newly created "National Testing Agency". However, be it this or JEE Mains, I feel pattern will be same. My advice is: Study all subjects everyday, assign some time for exercise, some time for Pranayam and some time for entertainment. Study with intention of learning and you will achieve success.

The good part of it would be that you will have more time to prepare and if you utilize it well then you can have higher marks and hence would get a more reputed college to study. You can even try for IIT's if not NIT's. You will also be able to enhance your knowledge level. The other side of the coin is that your batch mates of school would be a year ahead of you. Your graduation will get delayed by an year. And if you do not utilize your time well then there is no guarantee that you will score more next year in the same exam. So the focul point of dropping a year is to really utilize 365 x 24 hours of the entire in-between period very-ve... View more

Go through Career Launcher's course, I found that good. An alternative that you can go for if you're dedicated enough is to get a comprehensive list of topics that are covered/asked in CAT, and then search for online tutorials on YouTube. For a fact I know that all QA and DA topics are covered. You can check for VA too.
