You may get CSE core branch in VIT, Vellore but you will definitely get it branch that too in a first category. Placement ad syllabus wise both are same. Hope this helps

According to the cut-off released this year, only those students are called for counseling whose rank is less than 20000 on 10th May. So, it seems to be not possible as your rank is 30000 so just wait and see if they call you. You must try in other institutions as well.

Nothing comes to you on it’s own. You need to work hard for it. If you think it is easy to crack the entrance exam, you are wrong. But, it is not too difficult and can be cleared easily. Yes, there is merit based criteria, but the cut off is very high.
