Below 94 percentile, top Mumbai–Pune elite CSE seats (SPIT, VJTI, COEP, PICT, VIT Pune, PCCOE) are tough. Look at AISSMS IOIT, JSPM RSCOE, DY Patil Akurdi (borderline), PCCOER, Sinhgad Group (autonomous campuses), VIIT (only if percentile edges up). Consider MIT WPU (autonomous, private), SIT Pune (Symbiosis), and NMIMS (Shirpur/Navi Mumbai) via their own processes. Strategy: prioritise institute brand + placement cell over pure CSE tag, and explore IT/AI&DS with stronger labs.

MHT CET or JEE Main scores are used to determine admission to the program. Every year the precise cutoffs could change based on variables including competitiveness and ticket availability. At MIT WPU the entire cost of the B.Tech program is about INR 13.20 lakh. High-achieving students can also apply for scholarships depending on their MHT CET percentile.

Shortlist: Mumbai University–affiliated private colleges (e.g., Atharva, Vidyalankar, Shah & Anchor), Pune belt colleges (DY Patil Talegaon/AMB, PCCOER, JSPM group), Nagpur (KDK, Priyadarshini), Nashik/Aurangabad region institutes, and autonomous private universities that consider Class 12 + their own tests/counselling. Hello Rosette Ferrera, the procedure for admission to engineering colleges in Maharashtra including Mumbai is very simple. Students are required to apply directly to the college where they are seeking admission. They must of course score the minimum marks required in their examination which is equivalent to 12th. Normally 5% of seats are reserved for NRI students. Best wishes to you.
