This flexibility allows you to focus on answering confident questions before revisiting any that you want to think about more before you answer.
No, your marks will not be deducted if you answer a question incorrectly in the SLAT exam because SLAT does not have a negative marking scheme. Candidates also do not lose marks for questions they do not answer. For each correct answer, they receive one mark. The overall scores are evaluated on the basis of the correct options out of a total of 60 marks. However, the total 60 marks of the SLAT exam are scaled down to 50.

There is negative marking in MAT for wrong attempts, so candidates must rather skip the question than make guess work. It is not mandatory to attempt all the questions in MAT, so there is no pressure.

If a candidate selects more than one option for a single question in the TANCET exam, it is treated as an incorrect response. As a result, 1/4 mark will be deducted from the candidate's total score for that question. This rule is part of the TANCET negative marking system and is designed to ensure that candidates choose only one option per question. Even if one of the selected options is correct, marking multiple answers will result in a penalty. Candidates should be careful while filling in their answers.
