No, it's not required. JEE Mains 2 paper only for get admission in nits in architecture. If you get admission in architecture in iits then you need to qualify for the AAT exam after JEE advance.

JEE Main conduct two paper known as JEE Main-Paper-1 and JEE Main-Paper-2. JEE Main-Paper-1 is for BE/B.Tech admissions, While JEE Main-Paper-2 is for B.Arch and B. Planning admission. So if you are interested in doing B.Arch/B.Planning courses from reputed IITs, NITs and GFTIs, than you have to appear in JEE Main-Paper-2. Chandigarh College of Architecture is a prestigious college and there are only a couple of seats there for outside quota.
You have to score something above 265 to secure a seat there through JEE B.Arch paper. This may not be possible for you to take admission in this college.
