Yes, polytechnic students give JEE Mains paper but only get an entry from 1st year in IIT. Diploma students don't have a lateral entry scheme in IIT. So, if you really want to get into an IIT for B.Tech, you will have to sit for both Mains & Advanced exams and crack them. So, if you only want to get into an IIT. Don't mind an added year and prepare very thoroughly for Mains & Advanced and clear them (which is a herculean task to do as they have a wide range of questions with ultimate depths). There is no time limit to complete each section in BITSAT 2023 paper. Candidates will have to attempt and finish the examination within the 3 hours duration provided by the authorities. The time allotted to complete each section of the BITSAT paper is completely up to the candidate's discretion. Candidates will also be allowed to go back to any section and change their previously selection answers during the examination. Information available is of only cutoffs for JEE Mains of 2016. Nowhere could I get cutoffs for paper 2. I am still researching. If you come across PL let me know also.
