In Maharashtra's HSC board, French is one of the elective languages. The question paper pattern of French is as follows:

yes if your school/college medium wasn't English and you don't have a good grip over English, you might misinterpret the questions.

<p>If you belong to general category then you must score 340 or above out of 400 marks and rank must be below 1000. If you are from reserved category then you must score 280-300 and rank must be below 2000. You need to score above cut off marks to be able to get a seat in NIT.</p><p>And a JEE Main score of 250 or higher is regarded as good and a JEE Mains score of 85-95 percentile is ideal for getting into NITs and IITs through the exam. Candidates must also be in the top 15,000 to 20,000 ranks to be accepted into the best NITs and IITs.</p>

JEE Mains has total of 90 questions each carrying 4 marks.
Total-360 marks
And there's negative marking also 1/4 negative for 1 wrong answer.
