Yes, NCERT books are must for cracking any 12th based exams. But, you have to understand each and every term in depth. For practicing MCQs, refer to Dinesh and Trueman.

Besides increasing your knowledge level Nallathambi you need to work on your speed of answering the questions, which you can do through mock tests. Also try to work up your logical reasoning power.

<p>Yes, there could be some e non-MCQs in IIFT exam, most likely in the Quantitative Aptitude section. However, the number of non-MCQs will be lesser than MCQs. The candidates will have to type in the answer with the help of computer keyboard. For doing calculation and rough work, candidates will be given rough sheet that will have to be submitted at the end of the test. The non-MCQs are usually of low difficulty level and have simple calculations. So, candidates will not face a lot of difficulty in solving the non-MCQs. If you are not going to join any classes, then you can join online mock tests of 3 to 4 classes. You should analyze your strengths and weaknesses after every test. You need to work on your weaknesses. You should improve your scores after every test.

Hi Parth,
MBA abroad including USA will require to first gain some work experience, at least 2 years is recommended. Applicants must also take the GMAT exam to be considered for an MBA programme. TOEFL or IELTS would be required too. If you are willing to pursue your MBA from the US, do well in your academics and build a good profile, take part in extra curriculars and gain work experience first. Know your career plans before you apply for an MBA.

CAT is an entrance test for mba/pgdm admissions only. If you wish to get admission in IIMs, you need 98 or more percentile in it.

You can take online lectures and books for preparation. Like History of English Literature by David Daiches. You should Practise MCQs available in any book for NET preparation. Study literary criticism (Persons like Michel Foucault; theories like Structuralism, Post Structuralism, Post-Modernism, Neo-Colonialism etc. )
Language Studies (Philology, ELT etc. ).

Dear Priti,
I will suggest you to continue because IIMs and other best MBA colleges accepts almost above 90% in CAT, and no one can assure that after preparing so hard as it's always uncertain.
So, instead of delaying your plans, I will suggest you to continue.

CAT and other competitive exams like XAT, SNAP, MAT, CMAT, etc. are tough to crack. You can start preparing from 3rd year. You can join any coaching center like TIME, Career Launcher or IMS. You can take online courses that provide online resources and online mock exam. These training course also teaches you, how to prepare for GD and interview, if you clear the written exam.
