In the M.Sc Chemistry entrance all portions will be from chemistry. What you did in your B.Sc And one paper will be for mathematical physics. You must have did it rest it will not be more from physics.

It usually depends on the type of stream you have applied for. Generally they ask you about yourself, your background, your interests and why have you chosen that particular field. They will also judge you on your general awareness and personality traits. Read a lot about the field you have applied for because field related questions can very well come across during the interview to know how well you understand that particular field.
First, a bit of a background. I did my mechanical engineering from a decent state level university college and I got placed into IBM in the final year. Having no other options, I joined IBM after college. But I wanted to work in a field of my engineering background, and so I also took up GATE coaching at ACE Academy.
