Hi,
The English section will basically test the candidates proficiency in English based on many comprehension passages and grammar. Make a habit to learn new words. Note down all the new words and search their meanings. You can refer some good books and can give mock test as well to improve your scoring in English section.

48% isn't a good score for any good college. You are better off seeking admission without it. Try some other private colleges like Amity University etc.

well it's pretty strange question. GATE is not at all like banking exam in which there is a probability to crack it in one month. GATE need lots of prepration, dedication and deep study which practically can't be done in 1,2 or in 3 months. You need to prepare for it in atleast 1.5 year in advance. It's simply not a cup of tea.
All the best!
Most MBA entrance exams are conducted between Nov to Feb. Depending on which exam you are appearing you need to check on their website for the dates.
It is not out yet.
