It seems from your rank that you were in waiting list if you are taking admission you should opt for IMU Kolkata otherwise the colleges are not so good. IMU Kolkata being the government college will be fine otherwise you should go for private college like Tolani but before making any decision gather some information about colleges and their placements. In my opinion you must visit the college once and take view of scenario there. You might have a chance in more reputed colleges if you have any reservation criteria else give it a try. You have very great chance to get into this institute with this rank. Attend the counselling and choose you... View more

Hi, One think here to note is that, in WBJEE website which shows previous year or crores, the rank which are shown in TFW section of any stream are general ranks. All the counseling is done through general rank. So if according to your section last year the cut of CSE tfw in item was around 2100 (general rank). You won't get IEM CSE as your general rank is high. But still I can suggest you the best available college with or without TFW in you rank if you provide your general rank. Hope the answer satisfies you. Please do ask anything if you have problem. Please do upvote.

With rank 5614, MSRIT, BMSIT are tough, even after the second counselling.
You can get NIE Mysore but I would suggest you consider MVIT also as an option.
If you want to know more about it, then check last year's cut-off available on COMEDK website.

College Selection Expert,

Hello Rittik,
Good to see you again!
Why student wants a specified book in which the title is written on the front of the book that is CRACK WBJEE or CRACK COMEDK. No, my friend, these things are not a big issue just focus on NCERT books honestly. Why do you want to waste money on other books? Yes, one thing I would recommend is that you should use MCQ books by MTG or TMH which are good for practice after completing the topics from NCERT book.
For further queries, please revert.
All the best!
