You should opt for that because there are many chances of getting into a profession of a news anchor (if you really work hard and have the calibre to handle programme wholly at your shoulders). For general category students, the cut-off percentile fixed by JoSAA is 89.75. Unfortunately your percentile at 87.4 is not meeting required level & hence I am afraid you will not be able to register with JoSAA.

After B.Com, yes, you can make a career in Psychology through the options available to you might be limited but there are few colleges which do offer courses in Psychology to students from the Non-Psychology background.

Nowadays IGNOU is organising a job fair for their students but you would get better opportunity in internship and placement from regular mode education. But, for further growth you should plan for MCA programme because through BCA you won't get best salary and profile.

The earlier he start the better it would be. He should combine his class study with entrance exam. Some entrance he can target -
- CLAT for BBA LL.B
- CUCET
- BHU UET
- IIM IPM for integrated MBA
- IPU CET
